பெரியாரை ஒழிப்பதில் முனைப்புடன் இயங்கும் வீரமணி

"பெரியார் சாதித்தது என்ன?" என்ற கேள்விக்கு நாம் சொல்கிற முதல் பதில், இன்றைக்கு உன் பெயருக்கும் என் பெயருக்கும் பின்னால்  சாதி பட்டம் இல்லையே, அப்படி சாதி பெயரை தன் பெயருக்கு பின்னால் போட்டுக்கொள்வது ஒரு இழிவான/வெட்ககேடான செயல் என்ற கருத்து தமிழர்கள் மனதில் ஆழமாக பதிந்துள்ளதே, இதுதான் தந்தை பெரியாரின் முதன்மையான சாதனை என்றுதானே சொல்வோம்.  

பார்ப்பனர்களும் பெரியார் எதிர்ப்பாளர்களும், பெரும்பாலும் பெரியாரை "ஈ.வெ.ராமசாமி நாயக்கர்" என்றே குறிப்பிடுவார்கள். சாதி ஒழிப்பே முதல் லட்சியமாக கொண்ட பெரியாரை சாதிப்பட்டத்துடன் அழைப்பதில் அவர்களுக்கு ஒரு ஆனந்தம்.  

அவர்களைப் போலவே பெரியாருக்கு  "நாயக்கர்"  பட்டம் கொடுத்து மகிழ்கிறார் வீரமணி. 

பெரியார் என்ற கூர்வாளை அட்டைக்கத்திப்போல் சித்தரித்த "பெரியார்" திரைப்படம் இப்போது தெலுங்கிலே மொழிமாற்றம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. படத்தின் தலைப்பு என்ன தெரியுமா?  "பெரியார் ராமசாமி நாயக்கரு" 

"நாயக்கர்" என்று பெயரில் போட்டால் தெலுங்கர்கள் படம் பார்க்க வருவார்கள் என்று நினைத்திருக்கலாம் வீரமணி. அதற்காக பெரியாரின் அடிப்படை கொள்கையையே குழிதோண்டி புதைத்துவிட்டு பணம் சம்பாதிக்கத் துடிப்பது அயோக்கியதனம். 

மானமிகு ஆசிரியரின் நேர்மையைப் பற்றி இங்கே குறிப்பிடவேண்டும். அவர் நடத்தும் கட்சி பத்திரிகைகளில் இந்த தெலுங்கு படம் குறித்த செய்திகள் எதிலும் படத்தின் தலைப்பு குறிப்பிடப்படவேயில்லை. தன்னுடைய இந்த அயோக்கியத்தனம் தன்னுடைய கட்சிகாரர்களுக்கு தெரிந்துவிடக்கூடாது என்ற அவரது அச்சம் நமக்கு புரிகிறது. 

யாராவது இந்த தெலுங்கு படத்தினைப் பார்த்துவிட்டு உங்கள் கருத்தினை சொல்லுங்கள் நண்பர்களே. குறிப்பாக படத்தில், பெயருக்கு பின்னால் சாதிபட்டம் போடுவதை நிறுத்தச் சொல்லி அறைகூவல் விடுக்கும் காட்சி ஒன்று தமிழில் இருந்தது. தெலுங்கில் இருக்கிறதா? 

 பெரியாரின் எழுத்துகளை தன்னைத்தவிர வேறுயார் பதிப்பித்தாலும், அவர்கள் பெரியாரின் கருத்துகளைத் திரித்துவிடுவார்கள் என்று உயர்நீதிமன்றம்வரை சென்று பெரியார் கருத்துகள் பரவுவதை தடுக்கத் துடித்தார் வீரமணி. ஆனால் பெரியாரைத் திரிப்பதில் முதல் ஆளாக நிற்பது வீரமணியே அன்றி வேறுயாரும் இல்லை.

Stalin seeks tax exemption for film on Periyar

HYDERABAD: Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has requested the State Government to extend tax exemption to the Telugu version of the feature film on the renowned social reformer Periyar Ramaswamy Naicker to be released shortly.

Participating in the premier show of the film at Prasad's Imax here on Monday evening, Mr. Stalin said the Tamil Nadu Government had sanctioned Rs. 95 lakh for the production of the film in Tamil. He described Naicker as a great humanist whose life was his message to people.

Secondary Education Minister of AP, D. Manikya Varaprasad Rao, promised to take up with Chief Minister K. Rosaiah the question of installation of Naicker's statue at a prominent location in the city.

Naicker's associate and president of Dravida Kazhagam, K. Veeramani, said the fact that the legendary reformer's life story would spread in AP with the release of the film was a boost for the Dravidian movement. The film's director Gyana Rajasekhar, an ex-IAS officer of Kerala cadre who resigned from service, said it was always a challenge to make a biographical film, particularly on a multifaceted personality like Naicker. A number of leaders from SC community, including former Chief Secretary K. Madhava Rao, Katti Padma Rao who penned the dialogues, Mallu Ravi and J.B. Raju, were present. The lead actors Satyaraj and Kushboo and Telugu star Kaikala Satyanarayana who played the role of Naicker's father in the Telugu version spoke.
